Sent to Prison with 16-Month-old Baby

Art teacher Mine Işıktaş was sentenced to 6 years and 10 months in prison for allegedly using ByLock. Although her file is under review at the Court of Cassation, she was sent to prison with her 16-month-old daughter before her sentence was finalized.

Sent to Prison with 20-month-old Baby 

Ayşe Ercengiz, a classroom teacher with 3 children, was arrested two days ago and sent to Tarsus Prison to execute a 25-month prison sentence for depositing money in Bank Asya, despite having a 20-month-old baby born prematurely and breastfed.

4-Year-Old Daughter in Prison

Despite the ECtHR's declaration in September 2023 that using ByLock is not a crime, Yasemin and Kasım Melizci have been in Sincan Prison since January 2021 for using ByLock. Yasemin Melizci is detained with her 4-year-old daughter Saime.

Hopeful Waiting for Three Children Whose Parents Are in Prison

Zübeyde and Hüseyin Kara have been detained in Konya Prison since March, 2019, for legal activities without criminal elements. The ECHR confirmed their innocence on September, 2023, but their detention continues. Hüseyin has colon disease and Zübeyde has heart disease, worsening their situation.

Züleyha Doğru was imprisoned when her son Hasan was 1 year old, leading to his diabetic comas. Re-arrested in 2020, she left a gap in his life. Hasan’s father, recently released after being imprisoned since 2018, doesn’t fully fill the void.

FERİZLİ PRISON

Yusuf Kerim's mother Gülten Sayın was sent to prison 7 days after the death of her son, she and her husband were not even allowed to grieve together. 

She was only able to visit his grave 2 times after his arrest.


As the wells of Kütahya Prison have run out of water, prisoners are trying to meet their needs with water from the canteen. 

Sick prisoners have access to health care with great delays, and the poor quality of the food is no different from other prisons.


Malik Demir, a teacher imprisoned in Elmalı Prison for 7 years, was sentenced to 9 years of probation on November 25, 2023, but his probation was canceled on arbitrary grounds and he was sentenced for 5 more months. 

He was deliberately deprived of his freedom for another 17 months.

   He does not release those who have completed their prison term. Some of the prisoners had one month left, some had 3 months left. Out of 14 people, most of them will be over-incarcerated. 
   Moreover, there are chronic patients among them.


Ali Odabaşı, who was denied supervised and conditional rights in Sincan Prison, says "If I didn't have faith, I would have given up my life and committed suicide". 

He was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison, served 7 years, but they haven't let me out for 1 year and 9 months.

ESPIYE PRISON

Ibrahim Özer has not been granted supervised release. Although his conditional release date has come, he is not being released. Özer lost his father during this process and has had a very difficult time.

Murat Gülenç was arrested in Akhisar T Type Prison in August 2016 and sentenced to 8.9 years. On March 9, 2022, he was not given probation. His conditional release is also not granted. 

Gülenç's 2 children are in a difficult situation waiting to be reunited with their father.


Hatice Yıldız is a 70 years old old woman. Because she sent money to her daughter and her daughter's friend in prison, she was declared a terrorist and imprisoned while she was in hospital. She faints every day in prison. 

Prisons should not be the place for sick people.

Elazığ Prison

Turan Canpolat is accused of the coup even though he was in prison on July 15. His parole was taken away from him after his right to probation.

Özcan Solmaz, who has been imprisoned for 7.8 years, spent the supervised and conditional period of his 8.9 year sentence in prison. He has been held captive for an extra 2 months. 

Moreover, he has been in solitary confinement in Sincan High Security Prison for more than a month for demanding his rights.


Zehra and Mesut Bukan, parents of Elif Sevde and Ayşe Betül, are under arrest. Moreover, Mesut Bukan was not granted probation or parole. 

The children are suffering from psychological problems. In this case, their father should be released.


Halil Karakoç has been in prison since January 2021. He takes 16 medications a day. He is constantly taken to the doctor. He fell in prison and hurt his foot.   

He received a report that he can stay in prison. Keeping an 84-year-old person in jail is another kind of torture.


Elif Sinem, who has Down syndrome and needs her mother's care, has undergone kidney surgery 8 times. Her mother Özlem Sarıçelik has been in prison since 2020 and her father Zekeriya Sarıçelik since 2017. 

With the Yusuf Kerim law, her mother cannot be released!


Halil Karakoç has been in prison since January 2021. He takes 16 medicines a day. He is constantly taken to the doctor. He fell in prison and hurt his foot.   

He was given a report that he can stay in prison. It is not suitable for an 84-year-old person to stay in prison.

Ebubekir Ertuğrul lost his wife and 2 children in the Adıyaman earthquake. He is being treated for severe depression and is surviving on his own. 

He is still not transferred to Adıyaman to be with his family. He continues to be held in Sincan. The conditions of the prisons and the distance to his family makes Ebubekir even more sad.

Scandal in 'hate' operation in Istanbul: 14 high school girls detained with their mothersIt was revealed that 14 of the 38 people detained yesterday in the operation against the Hizmet Movement under the guise of 'current structuring' were 15-year-old children.

It is learned that the girls who were detained together with their mothers during the raids in Beylikdüzü and its vicinity were taken to the Sübyan Branch of the Police Department, while the others were taken to the KOM Branch. It is stated that the detention period was 4 days and the children were released in the evening.

Speaking to Sevinç Özarslan from Kronos about the detentions, a family relative said, "They also detained my sister. We don't know why right now. They didn't give any information because the file is confidential. These are students who live in Beylikdüzü and its neighborhood. They took most of them from their homes. 10-11 police officers came to the house. They scattered everywhere. They looked inside the refrigerator. The 14 female students who were detained with their mothers are at the Subyan Branch. They took the others to KOM."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, known for its unlawful congregation operations, has issued a detention warrant for 38 people for allegedly being in contact with and affiliated with the congregation, criminalizing families meeting with each other, finding rental houses and gathering with their children in various organizations.

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror and Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau, within the scope of the so-called 'restructuring' investigations, deemed it a crime for families who were previously prosecuted in unlawful congregation investigations to help their students who came to Istanbul from different provinces to study to find rental houses. The prosecutor's office issued detention warrants under the pretext of 'restructuring' and Istanbul Security Directorate teams conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of the families. It is learned that 38 people were detained in the operation and 2 people who could not be found at their addresses are still being detained.

TRT İFTİRASI

In its operational news report on 24.11.2020, TRT had exposed children having a picnic as 'having an organization meeting'. The following statements were used in the news report: "It was determined that there was an effort to reorganize especially among university students. University students selected among the children of Fetö members were placed in student houses. MİT and the Police cracked the organization."

Schandaal in 'haat'-operatie in Istanbul: 14 middelbare schoolmeisjes vastgehouden met hun moedersHet werd onthuld dat 14 van de 38 mensen die gisteren werden vastgehouden in de operatie tegen de Hizmet Beweging onder het mom van 'huidige structurering' 15-jarige kinderen waren.

Er is vernomen dat de meisjes die samen met hun moeders werden vastgehouden tijdens de invallen in huizen in Beylikdüzü en omgeving werden overgebracht naar de Sübyan-afdeling van het politiebureau, terwijl de anderen werden overgebracht naar de KOM-afdeling. De detentie duurde 4 dagen en de kinderen werden 's avonds vrijgelaten.

In een gesprek met Sevinç Özarslan van Kronos over de opsluitingen zei een familielid: "Ze hebben ook mijn zus vastgehouden. We weten niet waarom ze werd vastgehouden. Ze hebben geen informatie gegeven omdat het dossier vertrouwelijk is. Dit zijn de studenten die in Beylikdüzü en omgeving wonen. Ze hebben de meesten van hen uit hun huizen gehaald. 10-11 politieagenten kwamen naar het huis. Ze doorzochten alles. Ze keken in de koelkast. De 14 vrouwelijke studenten die samen met hun moeders werden vastgehouden, zitten in de Subyan-vestiging. De anderen hebben ze meegenomen naar de KOM."

WAT IS ER GEBEURD?

Het hoofdofficier van justitie van Istanbul, dat bekend staat om zijn onwettige congregatie-operaties, vaardigde een arrestatiebevel uit tegen 38 mensen omdat het een misdaad zou zijn dat families die zogenaamd verbonden zijn met de congregatie elkaar ontmoeten, huurhuizen vinden en met hun kinderen afspreken in verschillende organisaties.

Het onderzoeksbureau voor Terreur en Georganiseerde Misdrijven van het Openbaar Ministerie in Istanbul heeft het in het kader van de zogenaamde "herstructureringsonderzoeken" als een misdaad beschouwd dat gezinnen die eerder in onrechtmatige gemeenschapsonderzoeken werden vervolgd, hun studenten die vanuit verschillende provincies naar Istanbul kwamen, hielpen bij het vinden van een huurwoning. Het Openbaar Ministerie vaardigde een arrestatiebevel uit onder het voorwendsel van 'herstructurering' en teams van het Veiligheidsdirectoraat van Istanbul deden gelijktijdig invallen in de huizen van de families. Naar verluidt werden tijdens de operatie 38 mensen aangehouden en 2 mensen die niet op hun adres konden worden gevonden, worden nog steeds vastgehouden.

TRT had in zijn operationele nieuwsreportage op 24.11.2020 kinderen die aan het picknicken waren ontmaskerd als "het houden van een organisatievergadering". De volgende uitspraken werden gebruikt in het nieuwsbericht: "Er werd vastgesteld dat er een poging tot reorganisatie was, vooral onder universiteitsstudenten. Universiteitsstudenten geselecteerd onder de kinderen van Fetö leden werden in studentenhuizen geplaatst. MİT en de Veiligheidstroepen hebben de organisatie laten instorten."

De haat-operaties gaan onverminderd door. Tientallen mensen worden om illegale redenen vastgehouden.

Hizmet Hareketi’ne yönelik ‘güncel yapılanma’ kılıfıyla yapılan operasyonda dün gözaltına alınan 38 kişiden 14’ünün 15 yaşlarında çocuklar olduğu ortaya çıktı.

Beylikdüzü ve civarındaki evlere yapılan baskında anneleriyle birlikte gözaltına alınan kız öğrencilerin Emniyet’teki Sübyan Şube’de olduğu, diğerlerinin ise KOM Şube’ye götürüldüğü öğrenildi. Gözaltı süresinin 4 gün olduğu belirtilirken, çocuklar akşam saatlerinde serbest bırakıldı.

Gözaltılarla ilgili Kronos’tan Sevinç Özarslan’a konuşan bir aile yakını, “Kızkardeşimi de gözaltına aldılar. Neden alındığını şu an bilmiyoruz. Dosya gizliliği olduğu için bilgi vermediler. Beylikdüzü ve civarında oturan öğrenciler bunlar. Çoğunu evlerinden almışlar. Eve 10-11 polis geldi. Her yeri dağıtmışlar. Buzdolabının içine kadar bakmışlar. Anneleriyle birlikte gözaltına alınan 14 kız öğrenci Sübyan Şube’de. Diğerlerini KOM’a götürmüşler.” dedi.

NE OLMUŞTU?

Hukuksuz cemaat operasyonlarıyla bilinen İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, cemaatle irtibatlı ve iltisaklı oldukları iddia edilen ailelerin birbirleriyle görüşmesini, kiralık ev bulmaları ve çocuklarıyla çeşitli organizasyonlarda bir araya gelmesini suç sayarak 38 kişi hakkında gözaltı kararı verdi.

İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı Terör ve Örgütlü Suçlar Soruşturma Bürosu tarafından sözde ‘yeniden yapılanma’ soruşturmaları kapsamında daha önce hukuksuz cemaat soruşturmalarında işlem görmüş ailelerin farklı illerden İstanbul’a okumak için gelen öğrencilerine kiralık ev bulmasında yardımcı olmasını suç kabul etti. Savcılığın ‘yeniden yapılanma’ kılıfını bahanesiyle  gözaltı kararı verdiği ailelerin evlerine İstanbul  Emniyet Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı ekipler eş zamanlı baskın düzenledi. Yapılan operasyonda 38 kişi gözaltına alınırken adresinde bulunamayan 2 kişiyle ilgili gözaltı işleminin sürdürüldüğü öğrenildi.

TRT, 24.11.2020 yaptığı operasyonel haberde piknik yapan çocukları ‘örgüt toplantısı yapıyorlardı’ diye afişe etmişti. Haberde şu ifadeler kullanılmıştı: ”Özellikle üniversite öğrencileri arasında yeniden örgütlenme çabasında olduğu tespit edildi. Fetö’cülerin çocukları arasından seçilen üniversiteliler, öğrenci evlerine yerleştiriliyordu. MİT ve Emniyet yapılanmayı çökertti.”

Operation against members of the Hizmet Movement in Istanbul: 38 detentionsIn the scope of the investigation launched against members of the Hizmet Movement in Istanbul, a detention warrant was issued for 40 people. In the early morning operations, 38 people were detained.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has issued a detention warrant for 38 people on the grounds that it is a crime for families alleged to be in contact with and affiliated with the congregation to meet with each other, to find rental houses and to come together with their children in various organisations.



A detention warrant was issued for 40 people as part of an investigation against members of the Hizmet Movement in Istanbul. 

In early morning operations, 38 people were detained.


544 people were detained in 62 provinces on allegations of membership to the Gülen Movement. 

These people were detained on allegations of using ByLock and using pay phones.

Hate Operation 

Many patients in prisons do not have access to treatment. Prisons lack facilities to meet the basic needs of the seriously ill. These people must be given the right to a healthy life.

   Serife Sulukan, who was affected by coronavirus and dismissed from her teaching job by a state of emergency decree, was paralyzed on her left side and was arrested on May 3, 2022. 
   
   Ms. Serife, who has a disability and epilepsy, is alone in Menemen R Type Prison. 


   Bahadair Sulukan, the disabled and paralyzed son of Aserife Sulukan, says the following:

    "My mother tells me, 'Please, SOUND MY VOICE, I don't want anything else, I'm sick, I can't get what I need for my treatment, my psychology is broken, I'm alone and in a bad situation'."


   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher with a state of emergency decree, who is imprisoned in Menemen R Type Prison, tells her family during every interview that she is not well and wants her voice to be heard. 
   A disabled and paralyzed woman should not be in prison!



   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher and a disabled paraplegic who has been imprisoned in Menemen R Type Prison since May 2022, also suffers from heart disease and epilepsy. Last May, the Forensic Medicine Institution gave her a 'persistent illness' report. 

   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher with a state of emergency decree, is disabled and paralyzed. She is unable to meet her basic needs such as bathing and toileting on her own. 
   Unfortunately, she has been condemned to live alone in prison. This situation makes Sulukan's daily struggle for survival even more difficult.

Paralyzed and disabled, Serife Sulukan was arrested for sending her child to a school that was closed down and for teaching there. For months she has been held in a single cell in Menemen R Type Prison. 
   However, it is unacceptable for Sulukan, who is paralyzed and cannot even take care of himself, to be in prison.


   Paralyzed and disabled, Serife Sulukan first needs urgent knee surgery. She was arrested for sending her child to a closed school and teaching there.
